However, his rendition of the iconic song ‘Akh Larhi Badobadi’ by the legendary Noor Jehan has set a new record for YouTube views. This video, posted on April 9, amassed 28 million views in just two months.
Despite the rapid increase in views, the video was removed from YouTube due to a copyright claim. Nevertheless, the removal did not significantly impact the wealth of the 56-year-old British-Pakistani singer, Kashif Khan, also known as Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.
According to the Times of India, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan currently holds assets worth INR 41.7 million (approximately PKR 140.5 million). On the other hand, the website WealthyScoop.com reports his net worth at INR 60 million (approximately PKR 202.2 million).
The removal of the ‘Badobadi’ video from YouTube caused Chahat Fateh Ali Khan a loss of INR 900,000 (approximately PKR 3.034 million), which is only 2.2% of his total wealth. YouTube earnings can vary, but typically, 28 million views can generate an income ranging from USD 7,000 to USD 112,000.
