SBP announces regarding new currency notes after social media buzz

Islamabad (Pakistan News Online) The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a statement regarding new currency notes on Eid-ul-Fitr.

The State Bank has said in its statement that commercial banks are continuing to supply new currency notes to the public.

The State Bank is striving to facilitate the public’s access to new bank notes through its extensive, nationwide branch network of banks.

In the statement, the State Bank said that so far during the month of Ramadan this year, 17,000 branches of commercial banks have been provided with new bank notes worth Rs 27 billion in all denominations.

The ATM network of banks will issue quality and clean bank notes to the public without interruption on the occasion of the religious festival so that the public can be provided with new bank notes easily and efficiently. Cash monitoring teams have also been deployed in this regard.

The State Bank says that commercial bank branches will provide new currency notes to the public for Eid.
