Abu Dhabi (Pakistan News online) Eid ul-Fitr holidays have been announced for the public sector in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to the Gulf newspaper, the UAE’s Federal Authority for Government Resources, announced Eid ul-Fitr holidays in federal government institutions that will be from 1st Shawwal to 3rd Shawwal.
Work in government institutions will resume from 4th Shawwal. If Ramadan is 30 days long, an additional holiday will also be given on 30th Ramadan.
The committee to see the moon of Eid ul-Fitr in the UAE will meet on March 29. If the Shawwal moon is sighted on Saturday, March 29, Eid will be on Sunday and the 4-day Eid holidays will be from March 29 to April 1. If the moon is not sighted on March 29, Eid will be on March 31.
If Eid falls on March 31 in the country, citizens will get 5 holidays along with a long weekend. The holidays will be from March 29 to April 2. If Eid falls on Sunday, March 30, civil servants in Sharjah will have holidays from March 28 to April 1. If Eid falls on March 31, civil servants will have 6 holidays, from March 28 to April 2.
