ISLAMABAD (Pakistan News online) The Foreign Ministry has denied the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ban on issuing visas to Pakistanis.
During the National Assembly session, the Foreign Ministry told the House in a written reply that the UAE has not imposed a visa ban on Pakistani citizens, some Pakistanis in the UAE have been found involved in political and criminal activities including submitting fake degrees, diplomas and overstaying their visas.
The written reply said that some Pakistanis in the UAE have been found involved in inappropriate use of social media platforms.
The Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi has raised the issue with the government in a written reply, along with the matter being raised at the ministerial and undersecretary levels.
The Foreign Minister said that the UAE has announced a five-year visa, for which a round-trip ticket, hotel booking, proof of property ownership and an advance payment of 3,000 dirhams will have to be paid.
