Unknown persons opened fire on a Vigo in Gujrat, killing 6 youths, police termed as enmity

Gujarat (Pakistan News online) At least six people were killed in a firing incident on a Toyota Vigo vehicle by unknown persons in Gujrat district of Punjab. The deceased are between 25 and 35 years old.

According to the police, armed persons opened fire on a black Vigo vehicle in Danga area, resulting in the death of 6 people belonging to the same village on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Zahid Nazim, Mubashir, Zaneer, Javed Iqbal, Rukhsar and an unknown person.

Describing the incident as a result of long-standing enmity, the police shifted the bodies to the hospital for formalities while evidence was collected from the scene.

Meanwhile, IG Punjab took notice of the incident and sought a report from the DPO and directed to use all resources to arrest the accused.
