Two passenger planes collided in mid-air in the US, pilots killed

New York (International Desk) Two passenger planes collided at the Marana Regional Airport in the US state of Arizona, resulting in one plane crashing and killing both pilots on board.

According to the News agency INP, two small single-engine planes, a Cessna 172S and a Lancaster MK 360, collided in mid-air as soon as they took off from the runway.

After the collision, one plane caught fire and crashed to the ground, while the other plane managed to land safely.

Two pilots of the crashed plane died in the accident, while the pilots of the other plane that landed safely were safe.

The runway was closed to flights after the accident, but the airport was reopened after an investigation by aviation authorities.
