New Delhi (Pakistan News Online) After the death of India’s famous businessman Ratan Tata, the matter of the distribution of his property has come to light, in which a mysterious name has become the center of attention.

This name is that of Mohini Mohan Dutta, who is a lesser-known figure but is said to have been one of Ratan Tata’s close associates. According to reports, Ratan Tata has allocated about a third of his remaining property, which is around Rs 500 crore, to Mohini Mohan Dutta in his will. However, the distribution of this property will be possible only after judicial verification, which is likely to take at least six months.

who is Mohini Mohan Dutta

According to NDTV, Mohini Mohan Dutta, a businessman from Jamshedpur, was the co-owner of the Stallion company, which later became part of Tata Services. Before the merger, Dutta owned 80% of Stallion, while Tata Industries held the remaining 20%. According to Dutta, he first met Ratan Tata at a “dealers’ hostel” in Jamshedpur when he was just 24 years old.

Although Mohan Dutta’s name was not very famous, Tata Group insiders say that he always claimed to be close to the Tata family.

Dutta himself says that Ratan Tata supported him a lot and provided him with opportunities for growth. According to reports, Dutta was invited to Ratan Tata’s birthday party held at the NCPA in Mumbai in December 2024, where only close relatives and select associates were present.

He has also made special arrangements for the care of his pet dog “Titu”. His assets include a beach bungalow in Alibaug, a two-storey house in Juhu, fixed deposits worth over Rs 350 crore, and shares in Tata Sons, which have been transferred to the “Ratan Tata Endowment Trust”.
