Bad news for foreigners including Pakistanis seeking jobs or working in UAE

Dubai (International Desk) In the coming days, job opportunities for unskilled Pakistanis or other foreigners in the United Arab Emirates ( UAE ) will end as the policy has changed to demand highly skilled professionals, said Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.

According to details, in an interview with Gulf News, Pakistani Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said that now, we need to train our accountants, IT professionals, bankers, AI experts, physicians, nurses and pilots to find opportunities in the UAE.

He pointed out that the demand for skilled workers in the UAE has increased and if Pakistanis focus on improving their skills, there are great opportunities for them.

The ambassador stressed that efforts to convert low-wage and unskilled jobs into high-paying and skilled jobs will provide Pakistanis with earning opportunities.

Faisal Niaz said that if we prepare our citizens for these high-demand sectors, they can be included in the salary range starting from 20 thousand dirhams or more, while our unskilled citizens are receiving salaries of 1 thousand dirhams or more.

He also spoke about the growing partnership between Pakistan and the UAE and said that relations have gone beyond sending workers abroad in general, the partnership is not just about sending our workers abroad but also about highlighting Pakistan’s economic potential on the global stage.

He said the partnership will span generations, focusing on investment opportunities and job creation for Pakistan, and vision includes skills development, especially in sectors such as IT, accounting, healthcare and aviation.

The ambassador said that the demand for physiotherapists and nurses is increasing, and this increase is not only in the UAE or other gulf countries but around the world, we need world-class nursing facilities in Pakistan.

He said that discussions are underway to establish pilot training schools in Pakistan, where accessible training facilities will be available for new aviators.

On the role of overseas Pakistanis in all walks of life, he said that all workers, including blue-collar workers, crane operators, security guards, have played an extraordinary role in achieving glorious goals.

Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said that we need to work for the best destination for tourism, promote higher education and give Pakistan a high position in the global economy.
