BEIRUT (Pakistan News online) News anchor Abir Rahal was killed in a courtroom by her husband and later, he allegedly took his own life, the state-run news agency said.
According to details, the suspect, Khalil Masoud, fled the courtroom after killing his wife Abir Rahel, and an hour later, he took his own life by sharing a video on Facebook.
The handsome Lebanese news anchor Abir Rahel was in the courtroom to complete proceedings on her request to separate from her husband when the horrific incident occurred. The couple have three children.
The killer later described the reason in video shared on his Facebook account for killing his wife as ‘betrayal’ and ‘honor’.
Security officials found Khalil Masoud’s body in his car and transferred him to a hospital for further investigation.
The murder has shaken Lebanon, raising concerns about domestic violence and gender issues in the country.
