New York (Pakistan News Online) YouTuber Zara Dar, who recently made headlines for quitting her PhD to become an OnlyFans adult content creator, has quickly gained widespread internet fame.
Amid her viral popularity, rumors circulated on social media claiming that Zara Dar hails from Pakistan. However, now Zara Dar herself has issued a clarification on the matter.
Zara Dar wrote on the social networking website X that “Ever since I made this video that I left my PhD to work for ‘Only Fans’, I have come across many posts in which wrong information is being spread about me.”
She added, “I have not given any exclusive interviews on the matter, but I would like to clarify a few facts.”
Zara revealed that her real name is Darcy, which she shortened to “Darz/Dar.”
Refuting claims about her Pakistani origin, she stated, “With due respect, I am not Pakistani. I am American, born and raised here. My heritage is a mix of American, Iranian, European, Middle Eastern, and Indian ancestry.”
Zara also disassociated herself from all fake accounts, deepfake videos, and products falsely attributed to her. She shared her official X account to clear any confusion.
Zara Dar gained attention recently for her bold decision to leave her PhD and join OnlyFans, a platform widely recognized for adult content creation.
OnlyFans saw a surge in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, becoming a significant source of income for many creators, including renowned models and actresses who earn by sharing semi-nude and explicit photos and videos.
