Riyadh (Pakistan News Online) The Saudi government has pledged to create over 400,000 job opportunities in the human resources sector as part of its 2025 budget, according to Saudi news agency reports.
Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan presented the budget, which has been approved by the Saudi Cabinet. A key focus of the 2025 budget is the reduction of unemployment, with an emphasis on generating employment in sectors requiring significant human resources.
As per the proposed plan, these jobs will be distributed across all regions of the Kingdom, aiming to further reduce the unemployment rate. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Fund, will provide various services to 170,000 institutions, launching training programs expected to benefit around 2.3 million individuals.
Riyadh Metro to Launch Driverless Service from November 27
In addition, the Riyadh Metro is set to begin partial operations on November 27, offering driverless train services. Initially, three routes will be operational, with three more routes expected to be launched by mid-December.
The first phase will cover routes from Al-Oroubah to Al-Batha and from King Khalid International Airport to the Ring Road via Abdulrahman bin Auf and Sheikh Hassan bin Hussein roads. The second phase, starting mid-December, will extend from King Abdullah Road to King Abdulaziz City.
Children under six years of age will travel for free, while adult fares will range from 4 to 40 SAR. The administration aims to keep fares affordable to encourage greater use of the metro and ease traffic congestion on the roads.
