Frankfurt, Germany – A young woman, identified by the pseudonym Sina, has testified in court three years after being raped by two Afghan migrants, Sayed Sajad H., 23, and Rames H., 22. The incident occurred in June 2021, just two days after her 18th birthday, in the Sossenheim district of Frankfurt.

Sina, now 21, recounted her horrifying experience, saying she was treated like “their puppet” as the men ignored her desperate pleas for them to stop. She had previously matched with Rames on a dating app, and on the night of the assault, the pair, along with Sayed, went to a pond to drink alcohol.

The assault began when Sayed forcibly kissed her and ignored her objections. Sina explained that both men later forced her into non-consensual sexual acts. Despite her resistance and cries of pain, the men allegedly spoke in their language and continued to violate her.

Sayed, who has lived in Germany since 2015 and has a criminal record, and Rames, who is unemployed and lives with his parents, claimed that the acts were consensual. However, Sina insisted that she had explicitly told Rames beforehand that she would not engage in sexual activity beyond kissing.

The trial has been delayed for over two years since charges were first brought in October 2022. A verdict is expected on December 4.
