Arab citizen fined for touching on woman’s cheek

Dubai (Pakistan News Online) In the UAE, an Arab citizen has been fined 10,000 dirhams for putting his hand on the cheek of a female employee.

Daily Pakistan quoted a foreign website as saying that a female employee filed a case against her co-worker in the Dubai Civil Court in which she claimed that a worker approached her in the absence of the staff and slapped me on the cheek.

Hold hands for 10 seconds on which I got very angry and further complained to the management, she stated.

The woman said that such an action was not even in my imagination, my work was seriously affected by this action of the worker.

According to the woman, she reported the incident of the co-worker’s behavior to the management who summoned him and when asked the reason, he went back on her word and said that I thought it was normal, it is my daughter’s age.

The woman demanded from the court that the psychological condition of the person is not good, due to which 51 thousand dirhams should be paid as damages.

Apart from this, payment of all costs of legal proceedings and 5% interest on this amount until the damages are paid.

The trial court ordered him to pay 2,000 dirhams as damages on conviction and also granted him the right to file an appeal against the verdict.

later he filed an appeal against the initial court decision stating that the amount of damages was incorrect.

The concerned criminal court rejected the preliminary order and accepted the claim which said that the act of the worker had affected the woman’s modesty.

The court sentenced the Arab worker to a fine of 10,000 dirhams.
