Jamaica (Pakistan News Online) West Indies aggressive batsman Nicholas Pooran set the record for most sixes in a year in T20 cricket.
Nicholas Pooran has become the first cricketer in the world to hit the most sixes in the T20 format in a calendar year. He accomplished this, in the Caribbean Premier League match on Tuesday.
The previous record for most sixes in a year was held by his compatriot Chris Gayle who hit 135 sixes in 36 T20I innings in 2015 but Pooran surpassed him in the ongoing CPL.
Nicholas Pooran has hit 151 sixes in 63 T20 matches so far in 2024, the most sixes in a single year by any batsman in the world.
