Lahore (Pakistan News Online) Suzuki Pakistan has officially announced the end of their famous car Suzuki Bolan’s journey in Pakistan.

According to details, It’s official: the iconic “Carry Dabba” Suzuki Bolan’s journey has come to an end in Pakistan. After years of speculation about its discontinuation, it has now been confirmed that no new Suzuki Bolan vehicles will hit the roads.

It was through social media that news of the still incomplete Suzuki Bolan model spread on posting a poster that read: “Bye Bye Y88V Bolan, End of Production, Last Chassis Number 01151691.” A company official confirmed this news saying, “Yes, this was the final batch.”

Currently, the Suzuki Bolan is being sold for PKR 1,940,000, with the option to buy it on installments, which amounts to PKR 44,093 per month.

The era of Suzuki Bolan has come to a close, and it will soon be replaced by the new Suzuki Every. Pakistani consumers have been waiting for this upgrade because the Bolan had become outdated with no major features and safety upgrades. For a couple of years, people have been buying the Bolan for there were no options until the Karvaan by Changan. The Bolan has been criticized for nearly a decade-old design, lack of comfort, and safety issues on the roads for years.

The Replacement: Suzuki Every

In 2021, there were expectations that the company would discontinue the Bolan after a Lahore High Court ruling instructed the Engineering Development Board to ensure that all car manufacturers install airbags in vehicles. However, the company denied those rumors at the time. Then, in 2022, Suzuki introduced an AC variant of the Bolan, which was short-lived and discontinued the same year.

Now, the question arises: which vehicle will replace the legendary Suzuki Bolan? The answer is simple—Suzuki Every. The company unveiled the new Every at the last auto show in Lahore, though its launch was delayed due to various reasons, including restrictions on letters of credit (LCs) and the subsequent halt of CKD kit imports. However, it is confirmed that the Suzuki Every will launch in the second week of October 2024, marking the end of the Bolan and the start of a new era with the Every.
