Karachi (Pakistan News) Local Holiday announced in Karachi for all Private and government schools for tomorrow aimed weather conditions and safety concerns.

According to details the Commissioner of Karachi said this decision comes following an advisory issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

The Commissioner stated that the closure applies to all districts within Karachi, as the city braces for potential heavy rainfall and a looming cyclone.

The PMD has warned of a developing monsoon system, with the possibility of a tropical cyclone forming and reaching the Sindh coast by tonight or early tomorrow morning. This could result in heavy rainfall across Karachi and other parts of Sindh.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has also issued a statement, indicating that areas such as Badin, Umerkot, Chhor, Dadu, and surrounding regions are experiencing heavy rainfall. He warned that Karachi is expected to see an intensification of rain by tonight. A second advisory regarding the tropical cyclone is scheduled to be issued at 10 PM tonight.
