On Monday, a speeding Toyota Land Cruiser overturned on Karsaz Road before ramming into a motorcycle, causing serious injuries to a man named Imran Arif and his daughter Amna Arif. Both the father and daughter succumbed to the injuries.A media report suggested that the vehicle also hit two more motorcycles and overturned after colliding with a car parked on the road.The police arrested the driver, named Natasha Danish in the FIR, and booked her in multiple charges.
On Wednesday, a judicial magistrate has placed Natasha Danish Iqbal, the suspect in the Karachi Karsaz traffic accident case, in judicial custody for 14 days.
During a hearing at the Karachi City Court, the magistrate ruled that Natasha would remain in custody as the case progresses.
Natasha’s lawyer argued that the legal provisions initially applied to her case were bailable, the investigation officer pointed out that the addition of Section 322 has changed the situation.
