Dubai (Pakistan News) United arab emirates (UAE) is one of the gulf countries where expats moves to earn livlihood, now UAE has made some change in its labour laws to improve labour market.
Quoting emirate’s official news agency Daily Pakistan told that The United Arab Emirates has made some major changes to its labor laws, the rights and duties should be clarified and everyone should be protected under the law.
It has been stated that under the new laws, if an employer employs someone without permission, brings someone into the country on the pretense of employment and Then if he does not give jobs, misuses work permit or closes his business without paying workers’ rights, he will be fined heavily, this fine can be a minimum of 100,000 dirhams and a maximum of 1000,000 dirhams.
It is understood that if an employer, employs a minor or the guardian of a minor allows him to work in violation of the law, he shall be liable to the same penalty, including fake recruitment and fake emeritarization now.
Punishment: Such employers will be fined from one lakh to one million dirhams, if more than one person is involved in this fake recruitment, the fine will also increase.
It is being told that in the case of labor disputes, if the decision of the Ministry of Human Resources is not agreed upon, the matter will not go to the Court of Appeal but directly to the court, even for claims up to two years after the termination of employment.
The court will not consider, action can be taken against fake employment or fake Emiratis only on the request of the Minister of Human Resources or his representative. can settle such cases but requires the employer to pay at least half of the fine and the government to return all benefits received by the bogus employees, the appellate courts now refer all labor disputes directly to the Court of First Instance.
It will start from the date of implementation of the new law, except for those cases which have been decided or reserved for decision.
