Lahore (Pakistan News Online) Private TV anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb has allegedly been assaulted by her husband.
According to Ayesha, a dispute with her husband, Haris, escalated into physical violence. Following a medical examination, Ayesha filed a case against Haris, citing threats to her life.
The FIR states that Ayesha Jahanzeb informed the police that her husband assaulted her during the argument and threatened to kill her. She also revealed that Haris had been abusive towards their children.
The police have registered a case against Haris Ali, Ayesha Jahanzeb’s husband. According to the authorities, Haris has been arrested and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident and demanded a report from the police.
The Chief Minister has directed that Ayesha Jahanzeb be provided with the best medical facilities, stating, “Women are my red line; violence will not be tolerated.”
