Islamabad (Business Desk) The government of Pakistan has announced a discount in the prices of petroleum products and an official notification has also been issued in this regard.
The new prices have been implemented from 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday and these prices will remain in effect for the next 15 days.
According to the notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by one rupee per liter.
After this reduction, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 254.63 per liter, which was earlier Rs 255.63 per liter.
The notification further states that no change has been made in the price of high-speed diesel and it will remain at Rs 258.64 per liter.
Oil and Gas Regulatory authority (OGRA) officials say that this change in the prices of petroleum products has been made keeping in mind the fluctuations in prices in the global market.
