Champions Trophy, BCCI announces prize money for champion Indian cricket team

Mumbai (Pakistan News online) Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a big prize money for the Indian team that won the ICC Champions Trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

According to media reports, BCCI has announced a prize money of 580 million Indian rupees (i.e. more than 1 billion 88 crore 21 lakh in Pakistani rupees) for the team that won the Champions Trophy.

The prize money announced by the Indian board will be distributed among the players, coaching and support staff as well as the members of the selection committee.

On the occasion of the prize money announcement, BCCI President Roger Binny said that winning the ICC event was a special moment, the purpose of the prize is to encourage the cricket players and the support so that their hard work can be recognized.

It should be noted that the Indian team won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and won the title. In the initial group round, India defeated Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand cricket teams and defeated Australia in the semi-finals.

Later, the team defeated the Kiwis in the final to win the trophy for the third time.
