Karachi (Pakistan News Online) The missing wheel of the national airline (PIA) ‘s flight PK 306, which landed at Lahore Airport yesterday without one wheel, has finally been found.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the missing wheel was found near the remote parking bay of Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
PAA officials said that technicians from the wheel shop reported the presence of the wheel near the landing gear of the grounded Boeing 777 aircraft.
Private TV Geo News reported, citing sources, that the Airbus 320 aircraft flight PK 306 had landed at Lahore Airport, after which the absence of one wheel of the aircraft was revealed.
The Airbus company has contacted the national airline’s officials and started a technical investigation into the incident.
Aviation sources say that Airbus has requested a detailed report of the flight, which includes the plane’s three-month flight data record, checklists, and information related to the landing gear.
