Lahore (Pakistan News online) During the investigation into the murder of a policeman at the camp of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, the reason for the murder of the deceased revealed by the killer to be homosexuality.
According to News agency INP, the accused constable Arshad recorded a statement to the investigation team in which he said that the deceased Imran used to force him to have physical relation, and the murder was committed due to the pressure of the deceased.
Lahore Police said that both the accused Arshad and the deceased are drug addicts. The accused Arshad got divorced after separating from his wife 6 years ago. The accused is a resident of Mianwali.
The deceased was dismissed from the Faisalabad police. Police said that evidence of both being drug addicts was found at the scene, but evidence to prove the accused’s statement about homosexuality was not found at the scene.
SSP Investigation said that they are working to prevent incidents of sexual misconduct among police personnel, and steps are also being taken to keep the personnel away from drugs.
