Lahore (Daily Pakistan Online) Former national team captain Mohammad Hafeez criticized the three frontline fast bowlers of the Pakistani team for their poor performance and said that Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf should be removed from the team.

After losing champions trophy match against India, The former cricketer said that the three fast bowlers have performed poorly since the Asia Cup 2023, during which the three cricketers have played mega events like the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and now the Champions Trophy.

He said that now it is time to admit that despite their talent, these three have not won a major tournament for Pakistan, now it is time for us to move forward and give a chance to other bowlers like Muhammad Ali, Khurram Shahzad, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Akif Javed and Mir Hamza.

Mohammad Hafeez said that young fast bowlers are waiting for their opportunities, they also deserve it, they also have a Pakistani passport.

On the other hand, talking about Babar Azam, the former captain said that Babar has been playing for Pakistan for the last 10 years but till date he has not been able to lead the national team to victory against India in a single match.

He said that Babar should now be played at number three regularly so that the team’s middle order is strong, Rizwan, Babar and Salman Ali Agha can form a good middle order.
