Mumbai (Pakistan News Online) Dowry cruelty has taken another turn in India, a 30-year-old woman was injected with an HIV-contaminated syringe by her in Law in Uttar Pradesh.

According to details, a Horrific incident took place in Haridwar in May 2024, According to the victim’s father, his daughter was married in February 2023 after spending millions of rupees on the wedding, gifting a SUV, and paying 1.5 million Rs in cash. However, her in-laws continued to demand another one million and larger SUVs.

The father revealed that his daughter was subjected to mental and physical abuse by her husband’s family, who even threatened to arrange a second marriage for their son.

In March 2023, she was thrown out of her marital home, but after pressure from the local panchayat (village council), she was sent back—only to face further torment.

In May 2024, the in-laws allegedly forced an HIV-infected injection into her, after which her health rapidly deteriorated. Medical tests confirmed that she had contracted HIV, while her husband tested negative.

When the victim’s father attempted to file a police complaint, SHO Rogent Tyagi of Gangoh police station advised him to seek approval from higher authorities. Even after approaching Saharanpur SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan, no action was taken. Eventually, the victim’s family had to approach the court, which ordered the police to register a case.

A First Information Report (FIR) has now been filed against the victim’s husband (32), brother-in-law (38), sister-in-law (35), and mother-in-law (56). The charges include attempted murder (Section 307), domestic violence (Section 498A), poisoning (Section 328), physical assault (Section 323), and dowry-related offenses.

This horrifying case raises serious concerns about India’s dowry laws and women’s rights. The big question remains: Will the victim receive justice, or will this case be buried under bureaucratic delays?
