Lahore (Pakistan News Online) Court has summoned the woman who filed an alleged abuse case against national cricketer and former captain Babar Azam.

According to details, Justice Asjad Javed Gharal presided over the hearing of the petition challenging the court order to register a case against Babar Azam. The court has instructed the investigation officer to present the woman’s written statement at the next hearing.

Justice Gharal remarked that if the complainant does not wish to proceed with the case, it should be dismissed.

The woman has accused Babar Azam of rape, harassment, blackmail, and extorting money, while the cricketer has dismissed the allegations as baseless and an attempt to damage his reputation.

Babar Azam has requested the court to annul the decision of the additional session judge.

It is worth noting that in November 2020, a woman named Hamiza Mukhtar held a press conference accusing Babar Azam of betrayal. She claimed that they were neighbors and attended the same school.

According to her, Babar had promised marriage in 2010, but whenever she brought up the topic of marriage, she was subjected to violence. She stated that both families opposed the marriage, and Babar eventually refused to marry her.
