Washington (Pakistan News Online) Immediately after taking oath as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump has issued executive orders and directives related to several areas, from immigration, environment and TikTok.
According to a BBC Urdu report, US President Trump has signed a directive under which the ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ will be created. The aim of this institution is to improve the performance and effectiveness of the government and it is expected that Elon Musk will lead it.
its important to mention here that Donald J Trump has already said that Elon Musk will get about 20 employees and a new office after the establishment of this new agency.
Similarly, Trump has signed a directive to stop new government recruitment at the federal level and this ban will remain in effect until the Trump administration gains full control over the government. However, recruits in the US military will be exempted from this.
Thus, Trump has signed another document under which federal government employees working from home, are instructed to come to the office and work instead of working from home.
Donald Trump has also issued an order to ‘restore free speech and prevent government censorship’. Not many details of this order are available.
The order has directed the Attorney General to investigate the activities of officials of agencies such as the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission during the previous administration.
The new US president has signed a directive aimed at preventing the ‘use of the government as a weapon against political opponents’. Details about this directive were not immediately available.
