Mumbai (Pakistan News showbiz desk) Bollywood scandal queen actress and MP Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has been banned in Bangladesh.
According to Indian media reports, the decision to stop the screening of the film in Bangladesh is a result of the current tense relations between India and Bangladesh.
The film highlights the role of the Indian army and Indira Gandhi’s government in the division of Pakistan and the formation of Bangladesh, and the support of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In addition, the film also depicts the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by Bangladeshi extremists, which is believed to be the reason for the ban on the film in Bangladesh.
However, Emergency is not the first film to face a ban in Bangladesh, earlier films like ‘Pushpa 2’ and ‘Bhool Bhooliya 3’ were also banned from being released in Bangladesh.
