Lahore (Pakistan News online) The first murder of 2025 in the provincial capital was committed by a hired killer, whose compensation was two Umrah tickets.
The police said that a person named Riaz was killed in Sabzazar area of Lahore on January 1, and the shooter Usman was involved in his murder who has been arrested.
The deceased Riaz was killed by the command of his friend Imtiaz over a property dispute. Imtiaz had promised to give two Umrah tickets, a motorcycle and Rs 30,000 to shooter.
The police say that the deceased had come to the Wednesday bazar for shopping with his wife. Police is hopeful to arrest the mastermind of the incident, the victim’s friend soon, but he is still absconding.
