Lahore (Pakistan News online) The policy of requiring a candidate to score a minimum of 40 marks in exams under education boards across Punjab will be implemented from the year 2026.

According to the new policy, a candidate will have to score a minimum of 40 marks to pass. From the current year, the passing marks were to be increased from 33 to 40.
The final approval of the decision has not yet been taken from the Punjab cabinet, told News agency INP. The Higher Education Department has also prepared a summary for the approval of the policy.
Along with the increase in marks, the grading formula will also be implemented for exams.
The Higher Education Department has started working regularly to get approval for important changes in the examination system.
