Gomez shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, writing, “Forever starts now.” She also shared photos that included her diamond ring, a picnic scene, and a smiling photo with Blanco. Blanco commented on the post, writing, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
Several famous singers and actors, such as Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cardi B, Lil Nas X, and Julia Michaels, congratulated the couple on their engagement. According to CNN, Gomez, 32, and Blanco, 36, announced their relationship about a year ago. Selena Gomez once said, “He’s my everything.”
Blanco praised Gomez on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in May, saying, “I wake up every morning and can’t believe I’m spending my life with her. She’s the best and most genuine person. Everything is so real. Every day when I walk past the mirror and go to her, I’m shocked and think, ‘How did I get here?'”
