Istanbul (Pakistan News Online) Two Turkish military helicopters collided with each other, resulting in one helicopter crashing and killing six military personnel on board, while the second managed to land.
According to media reports, the Turkish Defense Ministry said that five personnel died on the spot, while the sixth succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
The accident occurred during routine training flights in the southwestern province of Sparta. Among the dead was a brigadier general who was in charge of a military aviation school.
The UH-1 helicopter crashed in a field and broke into two parts, while the second helicopter landed about 400 meters away.
