Riyadh (Pakistan News Online) Former goalkeeper of Saudi football club Al-Nasr and Ronaldo’s fellow footballer has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to convert to Islam.
Speaking on a TV show, Saudi footballer Waleed Abdullah, who was also a former goalkeeper at Ronaldo’s club Al-Nasr, revealed that Ronaldo is deeply interested in the teachings of Islam and the culture of Saudi Arabia.
According to Geo News, he said that Ronaldo really wants to convert to Islam, I also spoke to him in this regard and he expressed his interest. Saudi footballer Waleed Abdullah said that while playing for Al-Nasr, Ronaldo has even prostrated on the field after scoring a goal and always encourages players to pray and follow Islamic traditions.
He further revealed that whenever the call to prayer is made during training, Ronaldo requests the coach to stop the training so that his teammates can pray. In the interview, Waleed also mentioned the incident when Ronaldo prostrated on the field after scoring a goal for Al-Nasr in May 2023.
Waleed said that when Ronaldo prostrated, all the players on the team chanted Allah o Akbar together.
He said that whether Ronaldo converts to Islam or not, his discipline and hard work have brought him to this point. Whoever comes to Saudi Arabia is inspired by Ronaldo.
