According to an Indian media report, an old interview video of Salman Khan has suddenly gone viral, in which he discussed his past relationship with Aishwarya Rai and her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan.
As per the report, it is said that Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai ended their relationship in 2002, and on April 20, 2007, the actress married Abhishek Bachchan.
Neither Salman Khan nor Aishwarya Rai have publicly spoken about their relationship or the end of it. However, during one interview, the Bollywood superstar was asked about the alleged mistreatment of Aishwarya by him.
In response, Salman Khan politely stated that he didn’t have much to say about the matter. He expressed that he believes personal lives are private, and if he were to speak in his defense, it might seem like he was denying something that was once a part of someone’s life.
The Bollywood superstar further added that the best course of action was to remain silent. He said, “So many years have passed now, you know, she is someone’s wife now.”
He also mentioned, “She has married into a big family, and I am happy for her. She has married Abhishek Bachchan, and I think he is a very good man. That’s what any ex-boyfriend would want.”
Interestingly, the video is circulating at a time when news about the struggles in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s married life has been making headlines.
The news about the couple’s marital issues gained atraction when they appeared separately in front of the media at a wedding of the Ambani family. Following this, Abhishek Bachchan did not even wish Aishwarya Rai on her birthday.
