Khartoum (Pakistan News Online) a collision between an airplane and a rickshaw resulted in the deaths of four people and left 12 injured In Sudan.

According to international media, the incident occurred in the Sudanese state of Al-Qadarif, where a small aircraft on a dirt runway collided with a rickshaw. The accident caused shock and fear among local residents. Local sources reported that this tragic event took place when an ST-CPJ crop-spraying aircraft struck a rickshaw carrying workers involved in sesame harvesting.

At the time of the incident, the plane was landing on a dirt runway in the Al-Fashaqa Al-Kubra area. The collision led to the deaths of four people inside the rickshaw, while several others were injured, with one of the injured transferred to Kassala Hospital for treatment. The Ukrainian pilot, his assistant, and the rickshaw driver were unharmed.

Amar Abdullah, Director General of the Ministry of Production and Economic Resources in Al-Qadarif state, clarified that the plane was on a mission to deal with birds. As it approached the runway for landing, the pilot suddenly noticed a rickshaw on the runway. The entire incident happened so suddenly that it seemed as if the rickshaw had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Sources confirmed that the plane’s right wing and front propeller sustained significant damage. However, the entire crew, including the Ukrainian pilot, a Sudanese engineer, an inspector, and the rickshaw driver, remained safe.
