CBI solved trainee doctor’s rape and murder mystery, names Sanjay Roy prime accused

Mumbai (Pakistan News Online) Central Bureau of Investigation- CBI of India has named one Sanjay Roy as the prime accused in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata.

It is apt to quote here that this heinous incident occurred on August 9, 2024, in the wee hours of morning at 3 am, wherein a 31-year-old trainee doctor was raped and killed in a hospital.

Police arrested the culprit in just 4 hours after examining the crime scene and found a Bluetooth hands-free, and the hunt took them to Sanjay Roy, who entered in hospital fully drunk after raping the doctor goes to sleep in his apartment.

According to Indian media, the central bureau of investigation cleared that the trainee doctor was not gang raped and no evidence has been found regarding the involvement of any other suspect.

The investigation of CBI is nearly completed and a charge sheet will be filed soon against Sanjay Roy, the prime suspect, Initially DNA of the main suspect has been matched but investigators have sent the samples to AIIMS (All India Insititute of Medical Sciences) for a final review because they do not want to spare any loophole in the investigation which goes in favor of culprit in a court hearing.

Indian investigators recorded more than 100 statements and interviewed the nearly the whole hospital staff including Dr Sandeep Ghosh, the former head of RG Kar Medical College, who was taken into custody after the incident.

Horrific incident sparked massive protests in Kolkata and other cities across India.
