Multan (Pakistan News Online) Dania Shah, the former wife of the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, a well-known TV host in Pakistan, has allegedly received threats over her second marriage. As a result, Dania and her second husband, Hakeem Shehzad, have requested government security.

According to Express News, Justice Asim Hafeez of the Multan High Court bench heard a petition filed by Dania Shah and her husband, Hakeem Shehzad Ahmad, seeking security.

The petitioners stated that Dania Shah received death threats over her second marriage with Hakeem Shehzad through international calls. Still, no action has been taken despite the relevant authority’s recommendation for security.

During the hearing, the petitioners mentioned that they had also submitted a request to the Home Secretary of Punjab, offering to bear the cost of their security. They further stated that Hakeem Shehzad was threatened with being shot if he did not immediately divorce Dania Shah.

The petitioners explained that Dania Shah had first married the renowned religious scholar Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain. After his death, following the completion of the waiting period (iddat), Dania married Hakeem Shehzad Ahmad and is now residing with him in Shujaabad’s Shahpur area.

Justice Asim Hafeez of the Multan High Court bench has summoned a response from the Deputy Commissioner and CPO Multan by September 17.

It is worth mentioning that last month, Dania Shah confirmed her second marriage to her lawyer, Hakeem Shehzad, through a video statement, after which the couple also held a wedding reception.
