Rawalpindi (Pakistan News) after Lahore the administration of Rawalpindi also announced local holiday on aug 26, Monday on the occasion of chehlum Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A).
According to details Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Hassan waqar cheema announced the local holiday. The chehlum holiday will be observed in tehsil Rawalpindi, tehsil city, cantt and sadar areas, the public holiday has been observed in view of Chehlum processions but emergency and other relief departments and institution are exempted from this order, the notification said.
On other hand IG Islamabad Syed Nasir Ali Rizvi visited the route of Chehlam procession and reviewed the security arrangements. Its noteworthy Lahore is also observing local holiday on the occasion of chehulm and Urs Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajveri (RA).
