Lahore (Pakistan News) The second trial for the installation of a firewall has been successfully completed and soon to be internet issue in Pakistan will be resolved.
Telecom sources informed that the firewall has been installed with national security in mind. Internet service providers have implemented the firewall, and during its installation, social media apps were temporarily taken down.
Audio and video downloads on social media platforms were disabled as part of the process.
According to sources, social media services are expected to return to normal in the coming days. The firewall also impacted mobile signals and internet services.
The firewall is equipped with deep packet inspection capabilities, which will allow it to block controversial content on social media.
Additionally, it can identify propaganda points on social media, and accounts involved in spreading anti-national security propaganda can be blocked.
