Jeddah (Pakistan News) The Saudi government has extended the fee waiver for foreign workers working in the industrial sector.
According to Arab News, this fee was abolished for the first time in 2019 for expats workers, which was previously applicable to every foreign worker. The fee waiver has now been extended till 31st December 2024.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al Kharif, has said that the extension of fee waiver for foreign workers is part of a broader strategy to promote development and investment in the industrial sector. We thank King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued support in this matter.”
He said, “Extension of fee waiver will further strengthen the industrial sector and create new employment opportunities. This discount given to foreign workers is playing an important role in changing the industrial scenario of Saudi Arabia. From its inception until April 2024, the number of industrial establishments in the state has increased rapidly from 8 thousand 822 to 11 thousand 868.
