Rawalpindi (Pakistan News Online) Rawalpindi’s first woman Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Benish Fatima has taken charge of her post. On reaching the traffic , she was greeted by a sharp contingent of traffic police and presented with a bouquet by a lady traffic assistant.
According to the details, Chief Traffic Officer Benish Fatima met the DSPs and Branch In-charges individually and reviewed the facilities provided to the citizens at the Traffic Headquarters, Race Course. CTO also visited all branches .
Banish Fatima, daughter-in-law of former Inspector General of Police Punjab, is the third woman to hold the post of CTO in Punjab. Amara Athar is currently CTO Lahore while Ayesha Butt is holding the post of CTO Gujranwala.
Benish Fatima is the first woman to serve as the CTO in Rawalpindi after the establishment of the City Traffic Police in 2007. earlier, CTO Taimur Khan who was holding the post from 18 November, 2022 has officially resigned from his post.
