Lahore (Pakistan News) Following the implementation of the federal budget, the price of a cement bag has reached an all-time high.

Reports indicate that the construction sector’s improvement and the dream of building an affordable home have become more challenging, with affordable building materials becoming scarce.

Since the budget was presented, the cost of construction materials has increased by 25%. In the market, a cement bag now costs 1500 rupees. Additionally, the rise in construction material prices has made it increasingly difficult for the average person to build a home.

Currently, steel bars are priced at 120 rupees per foot, gravel at 260 rupees per kilogram, and sand at 3600 rupees per load. The new rates post-budget have not only troubled ordinary citizens but also those involved in the construction business.
