Karachi (Pakistan News Online) Gold prices have surged once again across the country, while the price of the US dollar has decreased.
On the last day of the business week, local markets recorded an increase in gold prices. The price of 24-carat gold rose by PKR 1,600, reaching PKR 242,900 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold increased by PKR 1,372, now standing at PKR 208,248.
Meanwhile, in the global market, the price of gold per ounce increased by USD 28, reaching USD 2,363.
US Dollar
On Friday, the US dollar became more expensive in the open market but cheaper in the interbank market.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the dollar decreased by 9 paisas in the interbank market, closing at PKR 278.51.
According to the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the dollar increased by 5 paisas in the open market, reaching PKR 280.37.
