The news of Sania Mirza and Mohammed Shami’s alleged relationship started after the tennis star’s divorce, and these rumors have gained momentum recently.

Sania Mirza’s divorce from Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik was confirmed in January this year, following Shoaib Malik’s second marriage to actress Sana Javed.

Following Shoaib Malik’s second marriage, there has been much speculation about Sania Mirza’s second marriage, with Indian social media users advising the tennis star to start a new chapter in her life.

Zoom Entertainment reported that fans of Sania Mirza and Mohammed Shami are abuzz with discussions about their potential union. Fans have even created social media pages dedicated to the couple, where their rumored romance is frequently discussed.

According to the report, there is speculation that Sania Mirza and Mohammed Shami might get married by mid-August. However, neither Sania Mirza nor Mohammed Shami, nor their families, have confirmed or denied these rumors.

Interestingly, Mohammed Shami’s divorce proceedings with his first wife, Hasin Jahan, are still ongoing in court, with Hasin Jahan having accused him of domestic violence. Mohammed Shami married Hasin Jahan in 2014, and they have a son together.

Similarly, Sania Mirza married cricketer Shoaib Malik in April 2010. The couple welcomed their first son on October 30, 2018, after eight years of marriage. Rumors of their separation and divorce initially surfaced in December 2022, and Sania Mirza’s divorce was confirmed in January 2024 following Shoaib Malik’s second marriage to Pakistani actress Sana Javed.

Sania Mirza’s father briefly informed Indian media that his daughter had obtained a khula (Islamic divorce) from the Pakistani cricketer.
