NewYork (Pakistan News Online) Rain knocks Pakistan out of T20 World Cup after USA and Ireland match abandoned in Florida.

Details indicate that the 30th World Cup match between Ireland and the USA was scheduled for today. Pakistan’s hopes of advancing to the Super Eight stage were tied to the USA’s defeat, which has now been dashed.

The heavy rain resulted in severe waterlogging in the stadium. Despite extensive efforts to dry the field and an announcement to limit the match to 5 overs at one point, nothing worked, and the match had to be canceled due to the wet outfield.

As a result of the match cancellation, both the USA and Ireland were awarded one point each. Consequently, the USA, with 5 points, is now in second place, and India, with 6 points, is in first place on the table, securing their positions in the Super Eight stage.

The Pakistan team will return home after playing their fourth and final match of the event on June 16. Earlier, Pakistan faced an upset defeat at the hands of the USA in their first match.

In their second match against India, Pakistan’s top-ranked batsmen failed to chase a very manageable target of 120 runs.
